President Rodrigo Duterte threatened on Friday to impose martial law as he warned water concessionaires Maynilad and Manila Water against compelling the government to pay them billions for the non-implementation of rate hikes.

In a speech in Davao City, Duterte reiterated his stand not to pay a single cent for their compensation claims.

Bibirahin ko sila,” Duterte said in a speech in Davao City.

“Do not force my hand into it.

Si Marcos 27 years, gawain ko akin 30 years, p*tang i*a kayo,” he added.
