President Rodrigo Duterte has postponed his live one-on-one interview with Chief Legal Counsel and Spokesperson Salvador Panelo scheduled Wednesday.
In a statement sent to reporters, Assistant Secretary Kris Roman of the Office of the Chief Presidential Legal Counsel said that Duterte canceled the tete-a-tete “due to pressing matters.”
“Due to pressing matters, the tête-à-tête part 2 of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte and Chief Presidential Legal Counsel & Presidential Spokesperson Salvador S. Panelo has been moved to January 28, 2020 at the Rizal Hall, Malacañang Palace at 5:00 p.m.,” said Roman.
Earlier, Malacañang said that Duterte would tackle “issues of national concern and affecting the national interest.”
In September 2018, Panelo also hosted a tete-a-tete with the President, who spoke about the revocation of the amnesty granted to Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV by the previous administration and the supposed ouster plots against him.
