Duterte: Lucena, Batangas with ‘red flags’ in drug map
By Prince Golez
President Rodrigo Duterte on Wednesday lamented the glaring prevalence of illegal drug activities in Lucena and Batangas.
Duterte made the comment at the campaign rally of the Partido Demokratiko Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan in Batangas City.
“Please do not be offended tutal para sa bayan ito at wala akong tinutukoy na tao dito. I talk in general terms. But apparently, Lucena and Batangas right now appear to be with a red flag in the map sa drug scene,” according to him.
The President also warned to run after the personalities linked to drugs.
“Naka red flag kayo eh. Marami. Kaya bukas mag harvest naman tayo. Kaligaya ko na lang pumatay ng mga kriminal,” he added.
Last March 14, Duterte named 46 politicians allegedly involved in the country’s illegal drug trade.
The “narco-list” contained the names of Lucena Mayor Roderick Alcala, Lemery, Batangas Mayor Eulalio Mendoza Alilio, and Ibaan, Batangas Mayor Juan Valencia Toreja.
