President Rodrigo Duterte has appointed the daughter of former Vice President Noli De Castro as board director of state-run PTV-4.

Katherine “Kat” De Castro previously served as president and chief executive officer of state-run IBC-13 and undersecretary of the Department of Tourism.

A list released by Malacañang on Monday showed that De Castro, a former ABS-CBN reporter, was appointed to her new post on February 6.

It also included former Philippine Health Insurance Corporation acting president Roy Ferrer who was appointed as Assistant Secretary of the Department of Health.

In June 2019, Ferrer tendered his resignation amid allegations of ghost kidney treatments.
