Duterte offers Dr. Jaime Cruz top PhilHealth post

Malacanang on Tuesday hinted that a certain Dr. Jaime Cruz will replace Dr. Roy Ferrer as the new chief of the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth).
This, after President Rodrigo Duterte ordered Ferrer and members of the PhilHealth Board to tender their courtesy resignation amid allegations of ghost kidney treatments.
“Parang may binaggit sya kahapon. Sino ba yun? Si Dr. Jaime Cruz. Private yun,” Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo told reporters.
“May nabanggit sya na he’s waiting for the response of Dr. Jaime Cruz for an offer he made to him. Di ko alam kung sa Philhealth yun o kung saan, pero since we are talking about Philhealth, most likely yun,” he added.
Duterte’s former top aide and Senator-elect Christopher Go confirmed this in a separate interview.
