Duterte pa more! VisMin voters want Sara, Rody in 2022
Voters from Visayas and Mindanao want Dutertes to rule the country for six more years.
Results of Publicus Asia’s PAHAYAG survey showed the preferred tandem for president and vice president for 2022 are Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte and President Rodrigo Duterte.
Sara topped the list of preferred presidential candidates of voters from Visayas and Mindanao, with 35.1 percent of respondents choosing her.
Following Duterte-Carpio were Senator Grace Poe (11%), Manila City Mayor Isko Moreno (7.8%), Senator Manny Pacquiao (5.5%), House Speaker Alan Peter Cayetano (4.6%), and Senator Christopher “Bong” Go (4.5%).
The Dutertes were locked in a virtual tie in the vice presidential race. The President garnered 11.6% while Sara had 11.5%
Moreno was also in the mix, edging his way into a three-way statistical tie with the Dutertes after garnering 9.85 percent of the votes. The top three were followed by Poe (9.05%), Cayetano (8.85%), and Pacquiao (7.25%).
The PAHAYAG survey was conducted from November 15-19, 2019. The respondents of the survey were 2,000 registered voters chosen at random among residents of Visayas and Mindanao.
The poll has a margin of error of +/- 2.19 percent across the entire survey population and +/- 3.1% within the respective Visayas and Mindanao clusters.
Aureli Sinsuat, PAI Executive Director and firm spokesperson, said the survey results showed an “overwhelming preference” for Dutertes.
“Mindanaoan voters catapulted President Duterte to the presidency in 2016. This goes to show that a united Mindanao voting bloc is a force to be reckoned with in the 2022 elections,” he said.
