President Rodrigo Duterte has designated Jesus Melchor Quitain as officer-in-charge of the Office of the Special Assistant to the President (SAP).
Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea, by the authority of the President, signed the memorandum on November 9, 2018.
“In the exigency of service, please be informed that President Rodrigo Duterte Roa Duterte has approved your designation as OFFICER-IN-CHARGE of the OFFICE OF THE SPECIAL ASSISTANT TO THE PRESIDENT, effective immediately,” Duterte’s latest directive said.
It may be recalled that former SAP Christopher “Bong” Go resigned from his post to run for senator in the May 2019 midterm elections.
Quitain, an undersecretary of the Office of the President, previously served as city administrator and city councilor of Davao City.
