President Rodrigo Duterte said former Bureau of Corrections chief Nicanor Faeldon will not be reassigned to another government post because he got a new job in the private sector.

“Hindi na siguro. Private. May tumanggap na sa kanya. Private corporation,” said Duterte when asked if he plans to reappoint Faeldon.

Last week, the Chief Executive fired Faeldon for disobeying his order not to allow the release of heinous crime convicts for good behavior.

In another interview, Duterte thumbed down the possibility of rehiring the ex-corrections chief, saying “he has had enough of controversies in the last few years.”

He, however, said that he still believes in the honesty of Faeldon.
