President Rodrigo Duterte once again lashed out on “dilawan” for their criticisms against the government’s coronavirus (Covid-19) response.
In a public address taped Monday, Duterte said his administration has “done our best” to address the health crisis.
“What I am trying to impress also upon the people is that we are doing our job, period. If you like it, kagaya nila na ‘yung mga dilawan. Maski anong sabihin mo, hindi mo gawin, masama ka; gawin mo, masama ka pa rin. Eh p***** i** mo anong gusto mo? Spray-han kita ng DDT?” he asked.
Vice President Leni Robredo, who leads the opposition, recently said the national government has “no system in place” in its efforts to curb the spread of Covid-19.
“You might be hearing of critics and ‘yung walang magawa, that we are not doing enough. Ano mang enough na gusto ninyo? May ospital, may kama, at may punerarya. Nandiyan lahat… Ano pa man ang gusto ninyo,” said Duterte.
Until a vaccine is made available to the public, the chief executive reminded everyone to continue heeding health protocols.
“The only thing that we can do really is to wear a mask, wear a face mask, and that’s it and wait for the vaccine. It’s Covid-19 equals vaccine,” he concluded.
