Duterte slams IBP for remark on vaping ban: Anong bar exam ba itong mga ulol na ito?

President Rodrigo Duterte on Friday scored the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) for its comments against his order to ban the use of vapes in public spaces.
“Itong IBP. Anong Bar exam ba itong mga ulol na ‘to?” Duterte said during the inauguration of the 105-megawatt baseload coal-fired power plant (phase 2) of the Sarangani Energy Corp.
Earlier, IBP National President Domingo Cayosa said anyone can go to court and challenge the President’s order.
“You know, do not listen to those lawyers and… Bugok na ‘yan sila, maniwala ka,” Duterte said.
The President added that an executive order imposing the ban and arrest of those who vape in public is no longer needed, citing the law against smoking in public places.
“I do not have to issue an executive order. Paka-bobo naman itong mga g*** na ito. Na meron ng law about nicotine. If you use vaping in public, there is nicotine. And so without the other chemical combustion there, you are already violating the law in vaping because it contains nicotine,” he explained.
