President Duterte snubbed the small and medium enterprises summit 2016 hosted by former presidential sister and actress-TV host Kris Aquino in Davao City.

“I know its a big disappointment but he really tried to come…but with migraine and all,” said Go Negosyo’s Joey Concepcion.

“Maybe I have that effect on some men, they really get migraines because of me,” Aquino said during the live event telecast by state-run PTV4.

Duterte arrived before dawn Friday (Nov. 11, 2016) from a two-day visit in Bangkon and Kuala Lumpur.

Among the officials who represented the President in the first town hall-type program were Trade Sec. Ramon Lopez, Agriculture Sec. Manny Pinol and Sen. Juan Miguel Zubiri.

In the same event, Ms. Aquino also confronted the business owner of Chooks-to-Go on why he did not choose her as endorser, which was why Magnolia tapped her. The event aims to tie up local entrepreneurs with big investors from corporations.
