Duterte still most trusted, approved gov’t official: poll

President Rodrigo Duterte continues to enjoy the highest approval and trust ratings among national government officials, the latest Pulse Asia survey released on Friday showed.

The nationwide survey, conducted December 14 through December 21, showed that Duterte received an 81 percent approval rating, an increase by six percentage points from his September 2018 rating.

His trust rating also improved by four percentage points to 76 percent.

The Pulse Asia poll found Vice President Leni Robredo with a 62 percent approval rating and a 56 percent trust rating.

Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III’s approval and trust ratings stood at 76 percent and 66 percent, respectively.

House Speaker Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, on one hand, obtained the lowest ratings, with an approval rating of 27 percent and a trust rating of 21 percent.
