President Rodrigo Duterte on Tuesday said illegal drugs remain prevalent in Batangas province.
During his situation briefing on the Taal Volcano eruption at the Batangas Sports Complex, Duterte claimed that Batangas continues to be a “red spot,” noting it is a “sanctuary for big drug personalities.”
“Ang Batangas talaga is a — it remains to be a red spot. Marami dito talagang gustong yumaman. Of course, mayaman ka, you get all the perks that life can offer. Money. But it’s going to be a short- lived, at least during my term. Ako nagwa-warning na ako. So maybe in not so many incidents malaman ninyo ‘yan,” according to the President.
“And it’s true because you are into drugs. Do not s*** me with ano. Nakikita ko kasi ‘yung bangko ninyo. Kung makita kong may bilyon-bilyon ka, saan mo kinuha ‘yang p***** i**** ‘yan? Mayor ka lang tapos may billion ka sa bangko?” he added.
Duterte, whose brutal war on drugs has killed thousands of drug suspects, said these “useless idiots” are better off dead.
“Drugs will kill the youth of the land. Tsaka ‘yung magte-take over — well, a good number of them would be… Alam mo ‘pag nabuang na sa droga, nabuang na talaga ‘yan. Wala na. They are useless idiots, might as well kill them,” he added.
