Duterte tells politikos not to leave any project unfinished before stepping down: Baka sabihin kinurakut n’yo!
President Rodrigo Duterte advised politikos not to undertake projects that they would not finish before the end of their terms because the public would think you ran away with the government funds.
In a speech before the League of Vice of Governors, Duterte said this was the reason why he has rejected fresh calls to grant him emergency powers to undertake projects in EDSA to solve the worsening traffic gridlock.
“Ngayon gusto nilang i-revive (emergency powers). Ilang buwan na lang. Two years and so many months. Kinurakot siguro ‘yung pera’,” said Duterte.
“Kaya noong ako, nag-mayor ako sa Davao, lahat ng projects ko completed when I vacated the office. Wala talaga akong talo,” he added.
Duterte said all politikos should heed his advice t make sure to finish all their projects.
Some ofyou will go to Congress, others will become eventually the governors,” he said.
