Duterte threatens revolt in Mindanao if COA sends HUDCC chief to jail: Kayo ang bahala

President Rodrigo Duterte has warned of a revolution in Mindanao should the auditing body hold housing czar Eduardo del Rosario, also head of the Task Force Bangon Marawi, liable for using the funds allocated for the rehabilitation of Marawi to fund the Hajj pilgrimage of Filipino Muslims.
“Sabihin ko kay COA (Commission on Audit), huwag mong presuhin ‘yan si Del Rosario kasi kung presuhin mo na — pati ako mademanda, pati si Inday,” said Duterte during the festival of Eid al-Fitr in his hometown Davao City Thursday night.
“‘Pag nademanda ang anak ko pati ako, mapreso ako, mag-revolt kami ulit dito sa Mindanao. Kayo ang bahala. Then I will start again to gripe against the historical injustice committed against the Moro people. Just the same. It’s all subjugation and imperialism of the son of a b***** of those Westerners,” he added.
The COA earlier ordered the Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council (HUDCC) to return the P5 million that it diverted to the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos (NCMF) for the annual Islamic pilgrimage to Mecca.
Del Rosario, however, assured the amount was “properly dispensed” by NCMF.
“We sponsored IDPs who were then living in the evacuation centers and transitional shelter. We had a raffle conducted in front of the IDPs themselves and immediately announced in the names of those who were luckily picked,” he explained.
