Duterte to appoint another military man to PNOC: Mas kampante ako sa kanila

President Rodrigo Duterte said he will appoint a retired military official to lead the Philippine National Oil Company (PNOC).
Speaking to reporters in Malacañang, Duterte said: “There’s one coming up. Bakante ‘yung isang opisina ng PNOC. I’m going to appoint another general there, retiring.”
The President again defended his appointments of ex-military men, saying they work faster and are not corrupt.
“Mas ano ako, kampante ako. Kasi itong mga — mga military hindi masyado ano sa corruption. ‘Pag sinabi mo, “Magtrabaho ka at gawin mo ‘yan at anong klaseng ano — ayusin mo ang Boracay.” You give the money, may sobra pa, and the thing is fixed,” he explained.
In October, Duterte fired PNOC-Exploration Corporation head Pedro Aquino due to loss of confidence.
