Duterte to give complainants free hand in slapping corrupt officials: Pwede lima, sampung beses!

President Rodrigo Duterte will give persons accusing a government official of corruption a free hand– quite literally– in slapping the accused if they meet.

Duterte urged the public anew on Thursday (January 10) to inform him of allegations of corruption against any government official so he could set a meeting where all of them could be in one room.

“I will give you the privilege, sampalin mo sa harap ko. Kung galit ka, siguro mga lima. Kung matagal ka naghintay, may interes na ‘yan. Gawain mong sampu,” he said.

Duterte said he is ready to act on any allegation of corruption, even if the amount of money involved were small.

He added that Malacañang is open 24 hours to anyone who wants to see him to report an erring government official.
