Duterte to Kapa victims: I’m sorry

President Rodrigo Duterte has apologized to the victims of Kapa-Community Ministry International Inc., a religious corporation accused of Ponzi-like fraud.
“I don’t know if it’s possible to return all of that to them. But those who lost a lot of money to KAPA, I’m sorry,” said Duterte in a speech delivered in General Santos City on Thursday.
Duterte called for an immediate end to the operations of Kapa, now facing charges for large-scale estafa.
“The operation will be stopped or shall stop immediately. And the pastor — you saw that everytime I talk to the pastor, the fool keeps on… He will let this story circulate afterwards. ‘Duterte cursed me there in GenSan. Everytime he said my name, lightning would strike’. U***. Your hell is waiting for you. T*** i** ka pastor ka, you are a swindler. You better watch out. Next time you should watch out,” he added.
The President also reminded everyone joining similar investment schemes not to trust something that sounds too good to be true.
“If it sounds too good that you would say, ‘Ha? Is it true? That’s hard to believe’, then that’s it. If you said that, patay. That’s true. It’s difficult to believe. Sige because there are those who have money, they have their salaries,” he said.
