President Rodrigo Duterte is expected to announce the new chief of the Philippine National Police (PNP) “in due time,” his spokesman said.
PNP chief General Archia Gamboa is set to retire in September.
In a virtual presser yesterday, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said a replacement for Gamboa is yet to be decided.
Duterte appointed then PNP officer-in-charge Gamboa to lead the national police agency last January. He replaced resigned top cop General Oscar Albayalde.
