President Rodrigo Duterte has offered to shoulder the funeral expenses of an 11-month-old baby who died from the complications of biliary atresia in India, his former aide and Senator Christopher “Bong” Go said.
Biliary atresia is a rare disease of the liver and bile ducts that affects infants.
Go said Duterte was present during the arrival of the remains of Eren Crisologo in Davao Sunday.
According to Go, he and the President have sent several other children with biliary atresia to India for treatment.
