Duterte urges resolution of US-China trade conflict: It’s creating uncertainty and tension

President Rodrigo Duterte on Friday expressed deep concern about the ongoing United States-China trade dispute.
“It is creating uncertainty and tension,” said Duterte during his speech at the last day of the 25th International Conference on the Future of Asia in Japan.
Duterte noted that the ongoing trade tensions between the two nations is “causing downward stressors of the global economy.”
The deadlock in trade talks should be resolved immediately, according to him.
“It is causing downward stressors of the global economy. It is become a protracted war on the global and trade investments everywhere,” said the President.
“The world is watching in earnest. There must be a resolution soon,” he concluded.
