Reacting to President Rodrigo Duterte’s allegations, veteran journalist Ellen Tordesillas denied she’s suffering from cancer and seeking financial aid from others.

In an interview over Pastor Apollo Quiboloy’s program “Give Us This Day” on Saturday, Duterte claimed that Tordesillas has cancer.

Tordesillas, however, admitted that two senators, who she did not identify, shouldered the cost of her hospital room.

“May dalawang senador na kahit hindi ako humingi, sumulat sa Philippine General Hospital, kung saan ako nagpapagamot, at nagsabi i-credit sa kanilang Priority Development Assistance Fund and aking bill sa kuwarto Walang cash na binigay sa akin,” according to her.

Another two politicians sent her cash, she added.

Tordesillas concluded she prays for the whole nation and for the truth to prevail in the minds of the people, including Duterte.
