Erap ignores black Sunday protest, wears school color instead

Former President and now Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada apparently didn’t want to mix sports with politics.

Estrada snubbed the black protest against President Duterte mounted by his alma mater and instead wore blue to cheer for the school team during last Sunday’s basketball game.

A photo showed Estrada in blue polo, jacket and jeans while watching the game between Ateneo de Manila University and De La Salle University.

Ateneo lost to La Salle.

Ateneo president Fr. Jose Ramon Villarin, SJ earlier urged Ateneo supporters to wear black in solidarity with victims of human rights violations in the county. The De La Salle community was also encouraged to do the same gesture.
