Familiar, infectious melody! Villanueva welcomes OPM songs in SEA Games

Senator Joel Villanueva is pleased with the use of original Pilipino music (OPM) during the recent opening of the regional sports meet in the country.
Villanueva said the popular Filipino songs were put front and center during the Southeast Asian Games opening ceremony last Saturday.
“Thanks to the SEA Games, catchy Pinoy music reflects the lively spirit of our people. No matter where u are, youll always long for the familiar, infectious melody that is OPM. Mabuhay ang musikang Pinoy🇵🇭 ,” he tweeted.
Among the songs played were the iconic “Manila” by the Hotdog band during the parade of Filipino athletes.
