From Senate to House of Representatives: Legarda composes thanksgiving song

Senator Loren Legarda will be missing the Senate after almost two decades of service as she becomes the new congresswoman of Antique in the 18th Congress.

In her Instagram feed, Legarda said she had a “very productive and fulfilling life” as senator and now is grateful for the public support following her congressional victory in her home province. She even composed a song of thanks to the Lord for giving her strength and wisdom in her journey.

“Making the most of my last few days as a Senator with my colleagues. I will miss them definitely but I am also looking forward to the opening of the 18th Congress in July, when I officially serve as Congresswoman of Antique,” she said on Instagram.

“Sharing with you this song I wrote as my offering of thanks to the One who has given me wisdom and strength throughout this journey. 🙏❤️ #gratefuleveryday #LoveAntique #LoveIndayLoren #2019,” she said in another IG post.

I am still overwhelmed with the love, trust and support given to me by the 199,187 Antiqueños who chose to make me their representative in Congress. 😊🥰🙌🏼 I am grateful to every person who contributed their knowledge, service, time and prayers to my campaign. We endured the long hours, heat, pressure and sleepless nights determined to make #Antique a great province. Now that the election is over, I am humbly reaching out to the rest of my kasimanwas to join me and work with me in making all our dreams a reality. To all who made this possible, I will with God’s grace and eternal wisdom, fulfill your dreams. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. 🙏 Duro duro gid nga salamat! #LoveAntique #LoveIndayLoren ❤️ #2019
