Remember the law student who lost both legs in a 2010 bomb blast in De La Salle University?
Raissa Laurel-Subijano, rising from the tragic incident and now wearing prosthetic legs, is running for councilor in San Juan City.
A photo of Laurel filing her certificate of candidacy at the Commission on Elections (Comelec) was shared by Senator JV Ejercito on on his Twitter page. She is a law graduate of San Sebastian College.
“Raissa Laurel, her strength and faith in God are remarkable. Tragedy didn’t stop her from pursuing her dreams,” the senator tweeted.
