AAMBIS-OWA party-list Rep. Sharon Garin on Friday said the camp of Marinduque Rep. Lord Allan Velasco is still holding Speaker Alan Peter Cayetano to the 15-21 term-sharing deal, noting that President Rodrigo Duterte has not retracted his instructions to the two men to honor their gentleman’s agreement.

“Yes, if you remember, the President had a meeting with the party leaders last Tuesday and his instructions were clear, you change the speakership following the gentleman’s agreement of 15-21,” Garin told ANC.

“And the President hasn’t retracted,” said Garin.

“We support Speaker subject to the 15-21, which will be turned over on October 14,” she said.

Asked about the President’s exact words, Garin said: “I was there and so were many, I think there were 16 to 20 of us. But the President came in and he was clear about what he was saying.”

“I remember specifically two things he wanted, pass the budget on time and follow the 15-21. I don’t think he retracted any of that,” she said.

“I’m definite about his instructions. He’s asking us, wag kayong magulo. Just make sure the budget passes because we have Covid, we have so many problems, we need it on time and responsive,” Garin said.

“And so hindi na magulo, let’s go back to 15-21 which is about to expire or has expired actually already,” she said.
