Go, Revilla, Lapid assured of win as 5 bets vie for last ‘Magic 12’ slots- Pulse Asia survey
At least three former senators are assured of a comeback in the Senate as the fight to land in the last remaining places of the so-called “Magic 12” remains fierce.
Pulse Asia’s latest and last voter preference survey before the May 13 elections showed former senators Pia Cayetano, Bong Revilla and Lito Lapid ranked at least second to fourth place.
Senator Cynthia Villar topped the survey, followed by Senator Grace Poe (ranked 2nd to 3rd), Cayetano (ranked 2nd to 4th), Special Assistant to the President Bong Go (ranked 3rd to 7th), Revilla (ranked 4th to 8th) and Lapid (ranked 4th to 9th).
Former Philippine National Police chief Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa is tied with Lapid, while Senator Sonny Angara is ranked 5th to 10th. Trailing him are Ilocos Norte governor Imee Marcos (ranked 6th to 14th) and Senator Nancy Binay (ranked 8th to 15th).
Four candidates are tied for the ninth to 15th rank in the survey. They are: Senators Koko Pimentel and JV Ejercito and Bam Aquino, and former senator Jinggoy Estrada.
Rounding up the list of senatorial bets with a statistical chance of winning is former Presidential Adviser on Political Affairs Francis Tolentino, who is ranked 10th to 15th place.
Pulse Asia conducted the survey between May 3 to 6 nationwide by having face to face interviews with 1,800 likely voters aged 18 years old and up.
