Public Attorneys Office (PAO) Chief Persida Acosta has expressed condolences to the family left behind by former Foreign Affairs Secretary Perfecto Yasay.
“Condolence po sa Family ni Secretary Perfecto Yasay,” read her Facebook post.
She recounted that she was still a young lawyer when she and her husband handled a corporate case at the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) when Yasay still headed it as commissioner.
“Through the Lord’s grace, we won that case without me knowing him personally,” recounted Acosta who noted that at that time she had just resigned from the PAO Manila District.
“Indeed, he is a good man with honor!” she said.
Yasay passed away last Friday (June 12) at 73 years old due to pneumonia caused by the recurrence of his cancer.
