The national government has given the Department of Tourism the green light to build a walk-in and drive-through vaccination clinic at Bagong Nayong Pilipino in Parañaque City.
In a televised briefing Sunday, Palace Spokesman Harry Roque announced that the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) on Emerging Infectious Diseases has ratified the proposal of the Department of Tourism (DOT) for a drive-through vaccination site.
“Also ratified during the IATF meeting is the proposal, which was endorsed by the Department of Tourism, to construct free and temporary public walk-in and drive-thru vaccination centers in the vacant portion of the lots located in the Nayong Pilipino property in Paranaque City,” according to Roque.
Meanwhile, the Task Force also instructed the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) to determine the number of employees who can perform their tasks at home.
“The DOLE and the DTI are directed to ascertain the number of employees who may undertake alternative work arrangements and its impact on the maximum carrying capacity of the subject area,” the Palace official said.
