Guevarra assures NBI has NBI’s continued support
Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra has assured that he will continue to provide support to the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).
“The NBI is the one agency under the Department of Justice (DOJ) that I am most proud of,” he said on Wednesday (Nov. 13) on the occasion of the NBI’s 83rd anniversary.
The Secretary explained, because of the NBI’s exemplary work, the bureau “enjoys widespread trust among the public.”
Guevarra added that “the national leadership and our public institutions from no less than the President himself to the Senate and the House, to name a few, has constantly looked to the NBI whenever complex criminal cases arise.”
“In return we at the department will continue to support your initiatives to better equip your ranks through trainings that will keep you updated with cutting edge legal doctrines and the newest investigative strategies and know how,” he told the NBI.
“We will be your advocates in improving the benefits your hard working men and women befitting in the speedy approval of your bureau’s budget and your transfer to a new and safer environment,” he added.
