CNN Philippines anchor Pinky Webb is pretty cool.
The broadcast journalist has commented about her now famous “hair flip” gesture when she dealt with an on-air verbal tussle with an angry Cabinet member on her television program.
“Hair flip is life. Pero baka ponytail muna bukas,” Webb tweeted Wednesday.
Webb’s latest amusing post on Twitter included a two-second clip of the now famous hair flip moment. The tweet earned more than 21,000 likes while the video has more 125,000 views as of Wednesday night.
Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque earlier lost his temper on Webb’s “The Source” program on CNN Philippines when the anchor threw questions related to the government’s scrapping of an accord with the University of the Philippines.
Webb asked him to comment about UP professor Danilo Arao’s challenge to UP alumni in the Duterte administration to denounce the termination of the UP-DND deal that restricted police and military presence in the school premises. Roque said it was unfair to be asked about his honor and excellence, and called out Webb for pressing him on the issue.
Several netizens lauded Webb for her classy handling of the situation on live television. Some have commended the journalist for staying calm and professional while Roque fumed during the interview.
