Vice President Leni Robredo is having another hair flip moment after an official of an anti-graft office made a supposed ridiculous call for an investigation on her donation drive for health workers.
Robredo hit back at Presidential Anti-Corruption Commission (PACC) commissioner for suggesting the National Bureau of Investigation should investigate her for allegedly competing with the national government’s response to coronavirus outbreak.
“Una, electoral protest. Sunod, impeachment complaint, sedition case, indirect contempt. Ngayon, ang gusto NBI investigation,” she tweeted.
Robredo wondered if she can face the NBI probe via Zoom videoconferencing since she is busy with lots of work.
“Kailangan ba du’n personal appearance o puwedeng Zoom? Dami pa kasing trabaho,” the veep said.
Luna earlier said Robredo may have violated the country’s laws when she accepted donations through “illegal solicitations (and) actions that compete with or calculated to undermine, national government efforts” to address the coronavirus emergency.
He also questioned Robredo’s free shuttle service and dormitory for health workers, as well as donations of personal protective equipment to health workers.
