Allayed fears over the possible spread of novel coronavirus, Malacañang said the government is prepared in case the deadly virus from China reaches the Philippines.

Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo said in an interview over dzIQ Sunday.

But, definitely, we’ll be undertaking measures to prevent the spread as well as secure the safety of our countrymen,” he added.

Meanwhile, Panelo asked Filipinos in Wuhan City, where the virus originated, to take safety precautions and follow instructions from local authorities.
