Handa na ba kayo? Robredo to release drug war reports Duterte doesn’t want to read
Vice President Leni Robredo will let the public know what she discovered about the drug war during her short stint as co-chairperson of the Inter-Agency on Anti-Illegal Drugs (ICAD), she said Sunday (December 1).
Robredo said her discoveries and recommendations for improving the government’s anti-drug campaign are contained in the two reports she submitted to President Rodrigo Duterte.
“Iyong first two reports ko saka recommendations, sa kaniya ko sina-submit. Pero sabi ni Sec. Panelo, hindi naman binasa. So iyong sa akin, baka mas mabuti, public, para for whatever it is worth, ma-consider,” she said on her weekly radio show, “Biserbisyong Leni.”
Robredo said her office also drafted a third report on the drug war but she held off on its submission to Malacañang after Duterte fired her from ICAD.
The Vice President said she will release the reports after the 2019 Southeast Asian (SEA) Games is finished.
Duterte has dared Robredo to share what she discovered about the drug war, even as he insulted the Vice President by saying she made an “assh*le” of herself in the 19 days she served as ICAD co-chair.
Robredo said she is clueless as to why the administration seems to be “afraid” over the possibility that she will share what she learned about the drug war.”
“Sa kanila, iyong dating, parang tinatakot? Eh bakit… bakit? Eh talaga namang may matutuklasan ako kasi nilagay ako diyan, mayroon akong trabaho, at iyong trabaho ko talaga gawing mabuti iyong mga hindi mabuti,” she said.
