Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque gave the administration of President Rodrigo Duterte an 85 percent rating for its efforts in addressing the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) pandemic.

In a virtual presser Tuesday, Roque took note of the Philippines’ low mortality rate and improved health system capacity.

“All in all, I think, we deserve a very good grade. I would give it a grade of 85 percent,” according to the Palace official.

Roque claimed that the country has the “best testing policy” in Asia, saying that more than three million have been tested for Covid-19.

“We need to brush up on our tracing… Kinakailangan din po natin ng mas maraming isolation facilities… Pagdating naman sa treatment, I think the fact that 1.7 percent lang ang case mortality rate approves that Filipino doctors know how to take care Covid-19 patients now,” he also said.
