After health scare, De Lima says she won’t fake illness just to be free

Senator Leila de Lima is grateful for the Lord’s blessing after results of her medical tests indicated the mass found on her liver was benign.

“I have received the results of my CT-Scan and am very grateful that the impression of a ‘liver mass’ detected from my check-up last February 15 is not malignant. This means that there is no need for an operation,” De Lima wrote on Facebook.

The senator, detained in Camp Crame for drug charges, profusely thanked the Lord for the “blessing” following a health scare. She was also thankful for her family, friends and supporters for their prayers and concern. “As I said, there is nothing to worry about,” she said.

De Lima said he would focus on her duties as senator and face the bogus charges filed against her by the Duterte regime.

“Hinding-hindi po ako magpapanggap na may sakit para lang makalaya, at lalo na, para magpaawa. Huwag po kayong maawa sa akin. Maawa po kayo sa bayan,” she said.
