With two weeks left to the May elections, senatorial candidate Imee Marcos paid a visit to the tomb of her father the late President Ferdinand Marcos at the heroes cemetery in Taguig City.
The Ilocos Norte governor tried to draw strength from her father, saying she would always be proud to be his daughter.
“Visited the Libingan ng mga Bayani for much needed strength in the next two weeks. I will always be proud that I am your daughter,” she captioned photos on Instagram.
Back in 2016, President Duterte allowed the burial of Marcos at the Libingan ng mga Bayani, saying he deserved such honor as a former president of the country. The decision was eventually affirmed by the Supreme Court.
