House closes internal audit dep’t after confirmation of 12th COVID-19 case
The House of Representatives has closed its internal audit department after an employee tested positive for COVID-19.
House Secretary General Jose Luis Montales said Monday (June 6) that an employee from the department contracted the virus and passed it on to a colleague.
“One of those exposed to her, a contractual personnel in their department, also tested positive today. The contractual personnel is asymptomatic,” Montales said.
The internal affairs department has been closed since July 2, he added.
