Suarez made the statement after revealing several parked insertions of some lawmakers close to Alvarez Speakership in the proposed P3.757-trillion General Appropriations Act (GAA).

“Malaki (ito)… palagay ko nasa P15 billion,” said Suarez.

The allocations, according to Suare, were already distributed to other lawmakers.

“Naipamahagi na yung mga different menus at program is P15 billion already. For 2018 yun,” said Suarez.

Suarez said many of his fellow legislators were advised by the previous leadership they were given additional allocations but noted that those allotments are not solely exclusive to their respective districts.

On Wednesday, Suarez revealed that some members of the previous House leadership have intentionally “parked” unimaginable amount insertions in some legislative districts few months prior to the start of the budget deliberations for the proposed 2019 NEP.

The Quezon solon stressed that some influential congressmen during that period allegedly instructed the House Committee on Appropriations that some agencies must be given additional allocations even if it is beyond the allotment provide by the proposed NEP.

Suarez, who is set to chair to newly revived House Oversight Committee vowed to dissect to the public, not only the P51.7 billion for 2019 but also those in the previous years.
