Better late than never! House ratifies P3.757T 2019 budget

Less than three hours after the Bicameral Conference Committee ended its budget stalemate, the House of Representative on Friday evening ratified the proposed 2019 General Appropriations Act (GAA) for 2019.
Through a viva voce voting, majority of lawmakers heed for the approval of the Bicam report for the P3.757-trillion National Budget despite some objections, particularly from ACT Teachers Partylist Rep. Antonio Tinio
House Majority Floor Leader Fredenil Castro moved for ratify the said Bicameral report despite consistent objection from Tinio and the presiding, Deputy Speaker Mercedes Alvarez immediately acted on the motion. A total 244 lawmakers responded to the roll-call around 5:19 p.m.
