Hurling personal attacks a sign of defeat – Sotto

0 653

A person can’t win any argument or debate when he or she resorts to personal or ad hominem attacks.

Senate President Tito Sotto made the statement after getting pummelled over his opposition to the sexual orientation and gender identity and expression (Sogie) bill, which he claimed, was against women’s rights. The actor-turned-politiko argued that gay men will never become women no matter what they do because they cannot reproduce.

“When people resort to personal attacks, it means they have lost the debate,” Sotto tweeted.

Senator Panfilo Lacson agreed with Sotto’ statement. “How true,” he tweeted.
