Malacañang on Wednesday said President Rodrigo Duterte will decide whether to decrease the physical distance between passengers in public transportation.

This, after Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases could not reach an agreement on the physical distancing guidance in public transport vehicles.

The government earlier approved a proposal that reduces the distance between commuters to 0.75 meters from 1 meter.
