Imee Marcos lists achievements in 100 days: 72 bills, resolutions filed
Neophyte Senator Imee Marcos has been a busy lawmaker filing more than 70 measures including those related to anti-terrorism, land reform, and tax reforms.
The senator posted her Senate milestone on Facebook.
“Senator Imee Marcos filed a total of 72 bills and resolutions to mark her first 100 days as a Senator of the Republic. Some of her priority bills are the Land Reform Act, Anti-Terrorism Act, and amendments to the Internal Revenue Code, particularly the Value Added Tax, to address inter-generational poverty in the country,” she said.
Marcos, as chair of the Senate panel on electoral reforms, also spearheaded the passage of a bill seeking the postponement of the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections to December 2022.
“She has also conducted hearings of the Committees on Economic Affairs and Cultural Communities which she also chairs,” the post read.
