Impeachment or quo warranto? Teddy Locsin offers third option in removing constitutional officers

The President, Vice President and other constitutional officers could be removed from office other than impeachment and quo warranto, according to a former lawmaker.

Teddy Locsin Jr., the country’s permanent representative to the United Nations, said assassination was another way to remove a constitutional official from office.

“Constitution says “may be removed” by impeachment because constitutional officers “may be impeached” if they deserve it & if the numbers are there which is always iffy. NOT BECAUSE IT OPENS THE DOOR TO ANOTHER WAY TO REMOVE THEM THAN IMPEACHMENT. THOUGH THERE IS ASSASSINATION,” Locsin said.
