Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte Carpio considers herself as a “helper” amid her active involvement in campaigning of Hugpong ng Pagbabago’s senatorial candidates in the May elections.

In an Instagram post, Mayor Sara said her dreams have taken a backseat since she has been called to help her father President Duterte.

“In 2015 I told PRD not to run but I added, whetever your decision may be, I fully support you and I will substitute you. I was called to be a helper and so my dreams take a backseat,” she said.

The popula mayor also tried to dispel speculations that she was eyeing a national elective post.

“Hindi ko gusto maging Senador, hindi ko intention maging Speaker of the HOR, hindi ko pangarap maging President. I help PRD, I help Senators, I help Speakers, I help Davao,” he said.

She said she could help “the Black Hole but they refuse it,” apparently alluding to the opposition slate.

“If there is a builder, there is a helper. Ako yun. In short, Vote Ejercito, JV Estrada for Senator!” she quipped.
