Inggit lang kayo! Bong Revilla shrugs off bashers of showbiz comeback
Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. is pushing through with his showbiz comeback despite criticism it will interfere with his legislative work.
In a statement Friday (November 15), Revilla said he knows his mandate as a lawmaker.
“Tama si Sen. Bato, alam ko ang priority ko. I have and will always put my commitment to the Filipino people first,” he said, referring to Senator Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa, who advised him to prioritize his work as a senator.
Revilla, however, insisted there was nothing wrong if he returns to showbiz.
“Wala pong batas na nagbabawal sa pag aartista. Ito ay isang marangal na trabaho na bumuhay at bumubuhay sa pamilya ko,” he said.
“Haters are going to hate, and bashers are going to bash. The truth is out there and it is their choice to side with lies and falsehood. Sino ang may problema? Not me,” Revilla added.
The senator is reportedly set to appear as a guest in GMA Network’s primetime series, “The Gift,” opposite Alden Richards.
Showbiz website PEP.ph reported that Revilla will also have his own television show on GMA, a drama fantasy anthology.
Revilla was jailed for four years in connection with a plunder case filed against him over the pork barrel scam. He was acquitted of the plunder charges in December last year.
