Inumaga sa trabaho! Duterte says he stayed late to sign gov’t docs

To put his mind at rest, President Rodrigo Duterte said he had to stay up until 8 a.m. today to sign a number of documents to prepare for his scheduled attendance to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summit and Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) meetings.
The ASEAN Summit will be held on November 11 to 15 at the Suntec Singapore International Convention and Exhibition Center in Singapore, while Papua New Guinea is hosting this year’s APEC meetings.
“Kanina I slept at around 8 o’clock in the morning because I had to sign so many documents as I am leaving for Singapore and Papua New Guinea. It will take me three days. So ‘yung lahat na pirmahan pinirmahan ko na lang para wala na akong problema, burden to be thinking of everything else and nothing else,” Duterte said in a speech in Malay, Aklan on Thursday.
The chief executive visited Boracay island to administer the ceremonial distribution of the certificates of Land Ownership Award to agrarian reform beneficiaries in Aklan province.
