It’s not the end of the world, Palace tells losing bets

Malacanang has a message for candidates who were unlucky not to win in the midterm elections: It’s not the end of the world.
“Pero it’s not the end of the world for those who lost,” said Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo in a media interview.
Panelo added that he has “so many friends” who lost on Election Day.
“Ganiyan talaga ang buhay. Marami kasing … like in the local elections iba ang dynamics sa local eh. Grabe, ibang-iba,” according to him.
Panelo said defeated candidates have fought a good battle.
“You tried your luck and you fought well. But as the rule of majority says, whoever triumphs will have to yield to that rule,” he said.
