Kabataan Party-list’s Elago still the poorest House member

Kabataan Party-list Rep. Sara Elago has remained the poorest member of the House of Representatives for the third straight year.

Elago has a declared a net worth amounting to P85,400 based on the 2018 summary of Statement of Assets, Liabilities, and Net worth (SALN) which was published in the Lower House’s website.

Kabayan Party-list Rep. Paul Hernandez is at second place with a declared net worth of P340,000 while opposition Cong. Gabriel Bordado ranked third with P515,6582.72

Party-list Reps. Arlene Brosas (Gabriela) and Pepito Castro ranked fourth and fifth with P518,660 and P680,000 respectively.

Wrapping up the top 10 poorest members of the Lower House were party-list Reps. France Castro (ACT Teachers) – 6th place with P912,000; Ariel Casilao (Anakpawis) – 7th place with P913,000; Sabiniano Canama 8th place (COOP-NATCCO) with P1.51 million; Carlos Isagani Zarate (Bayan Muna) – 9th place with P1.71 million; and Emi de Jesus (Gabriela) – 10th place with P1.89 million.
